Mr. Cerone is developing specialized seminars and workshops for appraisers and underwriters.

Since 1976, Mr. Cerone has presented over 600 courses and Seminars for appraising, cost estimating, marketing and liability avoidance throughout the United States. He has provided seminars for professional organizations (i.e., N.A.I.F.A., American Guild of Appraisers, New Jersey Tax Assessor Organization, ASA).

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Mr. Cerone has extensive involvement in real estate matters to include sales, brokerage, consulting, valuation and reviewing.

  • 1970 - 1973, Sales associate and manager for Kirwan Company, Realtors in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
  • 1973 - 1989, Principle and broker of record for Lockwood Associates, a real estate sales firm located in Brick Township, Ocean County, NJ. The company is still in existence but is used for investment purposes for select clientele and business associates only.
  • 1976 - Present, A real estate appraiser involved directly as preparer, reviewer or supervisor for over 35,000 appraisals.
  • 1989 - 1993, Partner in the valuation firm of Mirne & Cerone, 3200 Sunset Ave., Ocean Twp., Monmouth County, NJ. Firm was dissolved due to Mr. Mirne retiring.
  • 1993 - Present, President of the Appraisal Society with trade name of Amerival which is a cooperative of realty and related realty professions. This firm provides valuation, court testimony and consultation via its members from New Jersey to Northern Virginia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Mr. Cerone directs the organization on a cooperative fee basis.
  • Since 1983, Mr. Cerone specializes in professional liability cases. During this time he represented the FDIC and RTC, providing appraisals, reviews and expert court testimony. He also represents several professional liability insurance companies in the defense of appraisers. The more noted cases are the Asbury Park flip scam and a major case involving Red Bank, NJ properties which were part of a major bank fraud.
  • On several occasions, Mr. Cerone has been quoted in newspaper articles and has upon specific request, contributed articles for publication for real estate fraud, etc. He has also been a frequent guest on “Inside the Law” which is an AM radio program of WOBM. He presently provides to his clientel a semimonthly realty newsletter, titled In the Loop.
  • From 2004 - February 2006 Mr. Cerone provided due diligence appraisal reviews for a correspondent provider
